Sound healing with vibroacoustic massage
Overview
Vibroacoustic massage is a form of sound therapy that originated in the Himalayas.
Tibetan singing bowls are used to provide a sound frequency massage.
The bowls are made of bronze (copper and tin) – sometimes called ‘bell metal’ due to its musical resonance. The rich sound produced is multi layered with pulsing undertones, multiple notes and a lingering vibrational resonance.
What to expect
During the treatment you will lay on a massage couch fully clothed, firstly face down as I place the bowl on various areas along the back of your body and tap the bowl to activate the sound. You will then lay on the back of the body as I place the bowl on areas of the front of the body.
You will both hear the soothing acoustic – and then feel the deep resonance of the bowl.
The sound and vibration reach every part of your body, gently balancing you on a cellular level. The healing vibrations penetrate deeply into the body, resonating with muscles, tissues, and even internal organs, promoting relaxation, balance, and healing on multiple levels.
This is a deeply healing treatment that brings calm and relaxation to the mind and body. It can help reduce feelings of stress and anxiety, bringing mental clarity. It can also help to manage pain and improve sleep.
